Old-school Glamour

The historical Los Angeles Theater and it’s elegant nod to a refined LA before Juicy Couture and Havaianas took over  was a spot-on backdrop for the old-school glamour shown at Fremont. With a live jazz band playing, models eased down the runway in casual yet polished ensembles that evoked a new perspective on weekend casual. While the clothing spoke loud and clear to the future of relaxed fashion, the soft wavy hair and dark crimson lips whispered memories of a film siren from days ago.

The men at Fremont had an air of a brilliant, but tormented professor who philosophies with his students under a big oak tree. Suit jackets and even a tux tails  were the new definition of casual chic in washed fabrics with rolled trousers. The women were equally as polished in refined rompers and flowy dresses done in crimson, polka-dots and fresh florals, taken up a notch with silver statement necklaces.

The easy, chic style of Fremont’s Spring 2010 Collection reminds us that sometimes you have to look to the past to look to the future.

{Just a thought… be inspired that comfortable doesnt have to be super-casual. On your next weekend brunch or afternoon movie date ditch the flipflops and jean shorts and try a little romper or easy, flowy dress with sandals and see if you dont feel just a little more confident.}
