Natalie goes Twiggy

Momma-to-be Natalie Portman went 60′s mod with big lashes, side-swept bangs and button-up collar at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. We all know what goes around, comes around…especially in fashion. Looks to me like the adorable Portman is channeling one of fashion’s original icons…Twiggy!

Now playing: Bill Cunningham New York. Wow, I cant say enough great things about this heartfelt, funny & inspiring documentary of the original street style photographer, Bill Cunningham. The film takes a peek behind the lens of a fashion industry legend who inspires and moves us in the process. Untainted by money & the superficial, his unapologetic decades-long love affair with fashion reminds me of why I got into the industry in the first place. LOVE love love….

Thank you to everyone who entered our Book and a Bikini contest! We LOVED all of the inspiring responses. And while we wish we could give everyone a prize (really, we do!)….we have our WINNER!

Congrats to DEBBI F who’s name was selected in a random drawing yesterday. She loves “living by the ocean…it is incredibly beautiful during gorgeous weather, but also during coastal storms.” And now she can love reading her paperback copy of Meeting Your Half-Orange and wearing her Kushcush Milla Bikini!

Congrats Debbi and THANK YOU to everyone who entered! xoK

There are few things I’d rather be doing than relaxing on the beach with a good book. And while it may be cold outside (or an absolute tundra as the case may be), my 2011 swim collection and a sunshine-y new paperback are about to hit stores. To celebrate, we’re doing a giveaway to get you into an utterly optimistic state of beach bliss!

Win a fabulous Kushcush “Milla” bikini and a copy of the adorably inspiring book Meeting Your Half-Orange by Amy Spencer!

On Harper Bazaar’s “Hot List” and #1 on Star Magazine’s “Must List,” Meeting Your Half-Orange: An Utterly Upbeat Guide to Using Dating Optimism to Find Your Perfect Match is an inspiring and charming read that reminds us to look on the bright side in life and love. Although I’ve been blissfully married for 10 years, I love the message in the book (so did Glamour, Cosmopolitan UK and Jillian Michaels!) and found many areas of life to apply the book’s power of positive thinking. Read for a healthy dose of optimism or share with your single girlfriends. And for a daily dose, check out Spencer’s blog at TheDatingOptimist.com.

If you don’t have a beach trip planned yet, well, what better way to look forward to one than with a HOT new bikini (hello, healthy body inspiration!) and an optimistic book to read on the sand. Kushcush has been worn by Kim Kardashian, Jessica Biel, Nicole, Ritchie, Audrina Patridge and Nicky Hilton. And if you win the giveaway, it will also be worn by you! This “Milla” style is part of the Spring 2011 line and flattering on all body types – so good, the style made the UsWeekly Buzz-o-Meter because they thought so, too!

Every Kushcush bikini reads “Love Your Bikini ” on the tag. Now it’s your turn… tell us what YOU love!

Costume Couture

Every fashionista worth her weight in tulle stepped out last night for the Metropolitan Museum’s 2010 Costume Institute Gala, check out the belles of the benefit!

Jennifer Lopez. So polished and pretty! I mean, c’mon….mama is looking h-o-t these days. This is just fabulous and so right on for fashion’s favorite fete. I saw Mrs. Lopez at the UsWeekly Hot Hollywood Style party last week and woa! I had a moment. A far cry from her Jenny from the Block tracksuits. She is glowing & gorgeous and rocking curves in all the right places. J.Lo-ve it!

Im probably the last person on earth yet to see Avatar, but if the on-screen eye candy is anything like Zoe Saldana is rocking here, sign me up! The asymmetrical shoulder fits her like a glove and the gold cuff and boxy clutch are spot on. Love this chic look!

The grande dame and her mini-mogul….flawless! Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is absolutely stunning with a Chanel Haute Couture silver jacket over her satin column dress. Gorgeous! Now this is how to age gracefully. And while it cant be easy to walk in her mother’s stilettos, Bee Shaffer rocks this season’s obsession with blush and black perfectly in Balenciaga.
